The Witchert Chorale is a choir based in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire which was formed in 2004 by a group of good local singers wanting to sing and raise funds for worthy charitable causes, while having fun and being entertaining. The choir has performed a number of concerts in Haddenham and surrounding villages and at local festive occasions, such as the Winterfest and the Museum’s 10th Anniversary Service. Each year, come rain or shine, we welcome in May morning with madrigals from the church tower in Cuddington and, more recently, Long Crendon. In 2009, we performed in the beautiful Norman Abbey at Margam in South Wales and earlier this year, we took part in the 2011 concert series in Waltham St Lawrence, Berkshire.

We aim to entertain by presenting a variety of music from different periods and in different styles, and by including contributions from local performers. As well as arrangements of modern popular pieces and barbershop, we have sung music from the 12th century, Tudor sacred and secular music, baroque cantatas as well as recently composed works.
We aim to run rehearsals and concerts on minimum costs and to maximise the amount raised for international, national and local charities and good causes, and so far we have raised more than £17,000.
We are looking forward to welcoming the Golgotha Church Choir from Berlin next spring, to share in the traditional Mayday festivities in Cuddington, Haddenham and Long Crendon
